Commission Cycle vs Profit Helix
Mark Ling's other product: digital products, memberships and Skool communities. Here is where they actually differ, rather than which one a review site earns more on.
| Commission Cycle | Profit Helix | |
|---|---|---|
| Business model | Affiliate — promote others' products | Your own products and memberships |
| Traffic | Instagram, YouTube, ManyChat | Community-led, Skool |
| Need your own product? | No | Yes, that is the point |
| Time to first revenue | Shorter — nothing to build first | Longer — you build before you sell |
| What you own at the end | Commission income and an audience | A product, a community and recurring revenue |
The verdict
There is a strong case for Commission Cycle first and Profit Helix later: earn with someone else's product, learn what the market actually pays for, then build your own with that information instead of a guess. That sequencing is more common than the reverse, and for good reason.
