Profit Workshop Review

The $337 a day challenge

On the registration page for this month's sessions, Mark Ling puts a number on it rather than leaving it vague. That is unusual enough to be worth examining, because a specific figure can be checked against its own arithmetic and a vague one cannot.

The challenge, in his words

"I challenge you to build a $337/day online business for yourself, from scratch, with this breakthrough method and my easy to use automation tools."
— Mark Ling, on the Profit Engine Live registration page

A challenge rather than a promise, and the distinction matters. Nobody is guaranteeing that figure, and the material carries its own disclaimer saying results are not typical and depend on your effort and market.

Why $337 rather than a round number

Because round numbers read as marketing and odd ones read as arithmetic. $337 a day is roughly $10,000 a month, and working backwards from a monthly target is how anyone actually plans this.

It is also small enough to be imaginable. "Build a seven-figure business" means nothing to somebody starting from zero; a daily figure you could picture reaching in stages is a different kind of target.

What that number requires, using the vendor's own worked example

The free report sets out the maths on a list of 100 people. Two buy a $30 front-end offer at 70% commission, which is about $45 per hundred people, or 45 cents a person. Then of those 100, around 25 are also interested in making money online, and if 1% of those buy a $2,500 offer that adds roughly $300 per hundred.

So 100 people move from being worth $45 to being worth $345 — per person, 45 cents to $3.45. The report states those are assumptions and that yours will differ.

The honest reading of that

The leap from 45 cents to $3.45 is not extra traffic. It is the Ascend step — asking the quarter of an audience who are open to a bigger offer, which nothing else they were shown ever asked them.

That is the actual mechanism behind the challenge, and it is more interesting than the number. A daily target is reached by raising what each person is worth rather than by finding ten times more people, and the second is the hard part.

What the sessions show about it

The compound maths is demonstrated on screen during the live training, which is the part worth turning up for — a worked example you watch being built is considerably more useful than one summarised on a page like this.

Sessions run 14 and 15 September and registration is free.

The part that decides whether any of it applies to you

Whether you do the work in October. That is not a caveat added for form's sake — the variance between people running an identical method dwarfs the variance between methods, and no number on a registration page changes that.
